Responsibilities
Supervise daily shop operations to ensure efficient production workflows.
- Coordinate with engineering and quality control teams to maintain high standards.
- Manage staff schedules, training, and performance evaluations.
- Oversee maintenance of machinery and tools to minimize downtime.
- Implement safety protocols in compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Collaborate with procurement to ensure timely availability of materials.
- Maintain accurate production records and report on operational metrics.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the shop environment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Shop Foreman or similar leadership role in manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of machining, fabrication or assembly processes and equipment.
- Excellent management and team leadership skills.
- Familiarity with OSHA safety standards.
- Ability to read schematics and blueprints effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills for coordinating with teams and vendors.’
